Copper prices fall in Asian trading as a strike at the world’s largest copper mine has ended and workers are due to return over the weekend. Three-month copper prices on the London Metal Exchange are down 0.5% at $5,795/ton, and other base metals are off as traders await the fate of a Republican health-care bill in the House. Zinc eases 0.2% to $2,809 and aluminium sheds 0.5% to $1,924.
